Gaga: "I'm one of Real Madrid's worst signings"
Kaka, speaking about his time at Real Madrid, admitted that he, along with Eden Hazard, was regarded as one of the worst transfers in the club's history.
Former Real Madrid player Kaka, speaking about his time there, admitted that he considered one of the worst transfers in Real Madrid's history. In 2009, Kaka, considered one of the best players in the world, joined Real Madrid for €67 million, but failed to reach the expected heights.
He stated, "My time was very complete - both personal and professional aspects. I came from Milan as the best player, but if you look at the team's worst transfers today, I'm in that list with Hazard."
And Gaga said, "I'm not the best player in the world, and I'm not one of Real Madrid's worst transfers. I'm a child of God. My identity is based on faith; God loves me in any situation."
Kaga, however, could not show his potential under Jose Mourinho. "My problem was first, the injuries, and then the coach's decisions. Mourinho chose other players; Ozil, Di Maria, Benzema, Cristiano..." he said.
He still maintains a good relationship with Real Madrid, especially with president Florentino Perez. "I want to meet Florentino, the players and the staff who are still there, he makes me feel welcome here. People with me say, 'This is your club; it's great to see you, we're really happy you played for us'," he said.
Kaka has 29 goals and 39 assists in 120 games for Real Madrid. Later, he moved to Milan on a transfer, then played at Orlando City and São Paulo before retiring in 2017.
