Union Brescia, promoted: contract extension with captain Balestro
L'Union Brescia have decided to extend captain Davide Balestro's contract until 2028.
L'Union Brescia have decided to further confirm captain Davide Balestro. He arrived at Feralpisalò in 2021 and traveled with the club from nearby Brescia after the club managed by Massimo Cellino in the past were relegated. The club, led by Giuseppe Pacini, have taken the decision to opt out of the 1995-born Balestro's contract, extending his deal until 2028. Leading newspaper Il Giornale di Brescia reports that the move will be made ahead of summer training on 17 July. Union failed in the play-offs against Ascoli this year, restricting them from gaining promotion to the Premier B League. The only thing that could change for Balestro next season is that coach Eugenio Corini is looking to change the player's performance so that he can be included in the defense.
