A frequent threat – Fabrizio Romano in the last transfer for PSG
Atletico Madrid are close to completing a transfer to sign Kang-in Lee from PSG. The player's desire for more game time and Atletico's interest have accelerated talks.
PSG will have to make a few sales this summer, the first of which is crucial, with Atletico Madrid trying to land Kang-in Lee. Fabrizio Romano says Atletico Madrid have moved to the "next stage" in their bid to sign Kang-in Lee from PSG, with an agreement over a transfer fee confirmed. Having agreed personal terms just a few days ago, there is a chance the former Valencia man could speed up the deal as the World Cup in South Korea is ruled out. The deal has been known to be a possibility for some time. Lee is a useful teammate for Luis Enrique, if playing more, but he has accepted that he may not crack the starting XI and wants to play as a star player. A return to Spain, where he has played for many years, would be fitting and could easily become a favorite for Diego Simeone. There was some last-ditch interest from Juventus, but this looks set to remain a major obstacle for Atletico. PSG are looking for replacements for Lee. In other news, all predictions suggest that Maghnes Akliouche is coming to PSG - but Monaco may take some time to complete a deal for the player. A move to Atletico Madrid for Kang-in Lee looks like a done deal, but there is now pressure on the Juventus system.
