Denmark forward Amalie Vanckgaard is excited about joining Women's Super League side Aston Villa, saying "I am very happy and excited for this new experience". He joined Aston Villa from Juventus for an undisclosed fee. The 29-year-old has scored 11 goals in 62 appearances for the Serie A side. "I feel that this league is very strong. I am excited to enter the world of English football," Vanckgaard said. "I see that the girls in that team are really valued by the team and the facilities are very good. I'm looking forward to working here in pre-training and getting started. I'm a very forward attacking player. I like to run deep and create chances and create value for the team," he said. Vanckgaard made his Denmark debut in 2022 and has scored 14 goals in 46 appearances.
