Aliou Njie: Torino reject Anderlecht's 7m + 2m bonus offer; At least 15 million

Torino has again built a safety net on young striker Aliou Njie. According to Tuttosport, the Italian club rejected an offer of 7 million plus 2 million in bonuses from Belgian side Anderlecht.

Before this, two weeks ago, Torino rejected a proposal from England's Nottingham. The proposal is said to be similar to buying the player and then sending him on an immediate loan to Portuguese club Rio Ave.

Torino president Cairo believes Njiewi has long-term value for the club. Therefore, he has made it clear to Anderlecht that the door will only be open to proposals of at least 15 million. The same trend has been seen before: when Argentina's River Plate returned to the subject of Giovanni Simeone, Cairo indicated they would not let go unless a huge, irresistible offer came in by asking 25 million.

Tactically, Njie is projected to operate behind the central striker as a 'triquardista'/outside attacker, according to coach Abade Adiile. Last season he made 15 appearances and scored a goal against Verona. The feeling within the club is that the 21-year-old is in the mood for the next move and ready to make a further impact in the Torino jersey.

All in all, Torino's position is clear: firm faith in Aliyu Njie. We will not let the young player go unless an offer of the right value — at least 15 million — arrives.
