Nadine Risen: West Ham united and signed a 3-year deal

West Ham United have signed Switzerland defender Nadine Riesen from Eintracht Frankfurt. He joins on a 3-year deal between 2023 and 2026 after making 69 appearances in the Frauen-Bundesliga. The 26-year-old versatile full-back has experience playing in the Women's Champions League (WCL) and has 42 caps for her country. He joins West Ham coach Rita Guarino's squad as almost the 4th new player, after the arrivals of KD Zelem, Constance Bigodu and Laia Codina. "When West Ham showed interest in me, I was very excited. It's a great club with a great history and I'm very happy to be here," Riesen said. "It feels like family here and everyone has given me a warm welcome since I arrived. The Women's Super League is one of the best leagues in the world, so this is a great opportunity for me to grow in a new environment, face challenges and continue doing what I love so much. I love Rida's passion for the team. There is so much talent in this group and I hope we can achieve great things together." Rissen, who made his international debut in 2019, appeared in all four of Switzerland's matches at Euro 2025, scoring at home against Norway. Guarino said: "She is a full-back with speed and attacking ability, which will suit our style of play. Nadine works very hard for the team and her 'let's try harder' attitude is key for us. In the last few years, she has developed into a key player for her national team and that experience will be very useful for us."
