After the winter break he made a major impact for the club's second team in the German 3. Liga, scoring a total of five goals and one assist in four games. Especially in the big 6:1 win over Rod-Wies Essen where he scored a hat-trick and scored 1 "Kicker" in the news.
The Group E fixture schedule has been confirmed. Ecuador faces Ivory Coast on June 15; World Cup newcomers Curacao will face off on June 21. At the end of the group stage, a crucial match against Germany awaits in East Rutherford on June 25.
In the last World Cup in Qatar, the Ecuadorian team stood around. Their best achievement in the history is reaching the pre-quarter final (Octofinal) at the 2006 World Cup in Germany. This time Ecuador is trying to break through that trap with a combination of experience and young blood.
