Jose Mourinho offers Real Madrid €140m center back
Real Madrid have turned their attention to central icon Enzo Fernandez as they look to new signings to improve after disappointing seasons.

Real Madrid have been very nervous over the past few weeks and have now completed four signings before the transfer lock begins. Ibrahima Khanade and Denzel Dumfries signed before Florentino Perez won the presidential election. In the last few days, they have been joined by Bernardo Silva and recently Marc Cucurella. But Real Madrid isn't stopping yet. After two wins in the last two seasons, there is growing demand for a new centre-back, a key target for new head coach Jose Mourinho. In the last few years he has been the first coach to make final decisions on signings. Based on this, it is possible that Mathes Fernandez will switch, as he has confirmed Mourinho. But Real Madrid aren't prepared to offer €93 million from West Ham United, so they could go for a player who has watched them for years. According to MD, Real Madrid are trying to join Cucurella's current team-mates with Enzo Fernandez. They are ready to finally land him, a front-runner who has moved to an influential Chelsea in 2023, with the club looking increasingly likely to leave the club this summer. But Real Madrid and Mourinho, while keen to welcome Fernandez's arrival, are unwilling to sell influence. Should they be forced to sell, the deal will only be considered for €140 million, which is the price recommended for approval by Mebarna chiefs. Also, Manchester City are also interested in Fernandes, which will make it difficult for Real Madrid to reach them. Meanwhile, it remains to be seen if Fernandez, 25, will make any progress during Argentina's 2026 World Cup.
