Pantaleo Corvino, now Lecce's former transfer officer, spoke about the criticism he received in his career in one of his interviews. He said, "Criticism is important to me, it helps me grow. I always accept criticism in a good way, but I don't accept hate and slander. In 14 years at Lecce, 11 years in Serie A, three years in Serie B, all have been successful. I have eight youth championships, although whenever we are not in the promotion or relegation zone, there are always 'watene' plugs. These are the criticisms that hurt me. It was because it was related to the results obtained in my land, even though I was working at a distance from home, when I was in Fiorentina, I accept criticism, but not others."
