Buonpiglio: "The 12-year absence from the board is the result of crimes"

Italy's CONI president Luciano Buonpiglio attended the state sports conference in Pudenza to address his team's crisis. He said lack of planning was the main reason for the absence of Mandial in the last 12 years. "To play strong, you have to practice hard, practice skillfully, have a vision, and make decisions," he said. "We have been out of Mandial for 12 years and nothing has been done so far," he said.

"I always want to win, winning is the value of Olympic medals and life skills," he said.

After that, he was reluctant to share some mutual thoughts regarding the national team's reactivation tasks.

"Is Malago, Maldini, Kante the right path? The FIGC president knows," he said.

He spoke of the great results in the Italian sports community, saying, "We are also successful in planning important events."

"Our situation is happy, with the population and the facts about child disabilities in Italy, we focus better on the production of our players," he said.

He explained the reasons for this.

"We are working with improved technologies to improve our skills and protect our athletes in football and Olympic preparation," said Buonpiglio.
