A post-match firework display by Angel City FC in the US went awry. At the event at BMO Stadium, there were reports that some firecrackers deflected and landed in the audience seating area. "There was a malfunction during the fireworks display. Our medical and security teams were on standby at the stadium. Stadium operations confirmed that the venue was safe; all guests, staff, players and staff were able to exit safely. We are investigating the incident with our fireworks contractor and evaluating the next appropriate course of action," Angel City FC said.
