Spain beat Uruguay 1-0 as Budry puts in a superb performance
Spain beat Uruguay 1-0 as Budry put in a superb performance to avoid an undisclosed suspension.
Spain secured a narrow 1-0 win over Uruguay, but the result of this game only tells one side. The match was fast paced, full of tough challenges, exciting moments and lots of tension. Barcelona's centre-back Padri became one of Spain's best players in the tournament.
The result ensured top spot for Spain and their most important player, Petry, is available as they progress to the Round of 32. Spain had to fight as Uruguay brought a team that could be caught from the start. Facing the right challenges and overcoming many challenges, it was a tough night for Luis de la Funde's side. Agustin Canopio, in particular, was involved in many controversial moments.
The Uruguayan survived a tough challenge when taking on Butri. Later, Pau performed a hugely dangerous challenge on Kuberzi, which had the potential to really do major damage. He received a red card in the midst of a flurry of challenges. But Patri followed through with a calm, well-mannered and centered approach.

Butri, who played just 59 minutes, recorded one crucial pass, completed 43 of 63 touches, won seven tackles and made four saves. Also, he has absolute success with his long passes, which shows all sides of his game.
The pressure was on Patry before this match as he had picked up a yellow card. And a yellow card would rule him out of the Round of 32.
But due to the nature of the competition, Patri handled his situation very well. Despite competing in a very tough center fight, the 23-year-old managed to avoid unnecessary risks and escape the referee's note. He ended the night without incident as he was substituted after 59 minutes, giving Spain a deserved place in the Round of 32.
